I would like to thank all of you that responded to my mail regarding
LP's.
They are 99.9% classical and most of them of them London recordings.
I hate to get rid of them but the only time I get to listen is in my car
on CD's.
It will be a short time before I take action as now I have to find proper
cartons.
For those who are interested the 160 records amount to 128 pounds and
the UPS has a rate of roughly $8.00 for a parcel with a maximum weight of
70 pounds.
I think I will break them down into 4 parcels.
Will contact one of you that answered and that in itself is a problem.
One of them is a LP of the 'Symphony of the Air" This was a recording of
the NBC Symphony and was recorded without a Conductor as a tribute to
Arturo Toscanini after his death. The date of the recording session was
June 17th, 1954. I knew and played with several of the members of the
orchestra and have heard many stories of the "ole man".
