My computer also blocked a virus from a list member a few days ago. It was
sent privately, didn't come through the Digest, but the interesting thing is
that apparently the virus program can fish an e-mail address out of the list
from way back. I'm mostly a lurker and I know I haven't posted anything on
this list in more than a month. I deleted the virus message, but I remember
definitely it was sent with the header of the last thread that I responded to
and that thread died out several weeks ago. Also, the virus was attached to
a message saying nothing except that the attachment was an MP3 file. My
virus filter flagged it as no such thing. I think I wouldn't have opened it
anyhow because I don't know the person who sent it and my computer isn't even
equipped to read MP3s but be careful, because this is a sneaky virus.
