Subject: [kl] Fun week in store.......

Walter, Have you ever tried to extend a metal LeBlanc EEb contra?

burst. These are the projects I am finishing up before Friday:

on my lathe for a LeBlanc bass clarinet. I cut the tone hole, and am now
putting on keys, and soldering levers to make it connect to the lower joint
and the bell. (Why not to low C, you ask? Well the customer doesn't need or
want it, just a low D).

extension of about 53 mm to an English Horn, between the lower joint and the
bell, a low Bb will come out when you finger a B. Since some pieces require
a low Bb - Pictures at an Exhibition, notably, this is a desireable thing. I
finished it up today. My friend is scheduled to test it out on Thursday.
