I'm not certain of the details, but I BELIEVE that is the principal
difference between Audio CDs and the Data CDs.

I have the same problem with the relative locations of my audio and
computer equipment. Unfortunately, at least with a program like Easy CD
Creator, it is better to do the cleanup when recording from the original
direct to the hard drive. With Sound Forge or something at that level, it
may not make any difference.
