But cane reeds are notoriously 'fussy about MP type and reed
adjustment'. I thought that was the whole point of making plastic reeds.

Another factor is that there's more than one style of cane reed, because
there's more than one style of mouthpiece. (Hence, French cut, German
cut, Austrian cut and so on -- though German and Austrian players don't
usually rely on commercially produced reeds, preferring to make and
adjust their own.) The report that Legere reeds were 'designed for a
B45' seems to imply that the manufacturers haven't yet attempted to
produce different reeds for different styles of mouthpieces. I did
enquire about that, and the answer came back that indeed they hadn't,
but it was quite a long time ago.

What mouthpieces have you tried them on?

Even if they suit all the mouthpieces you've tried, it's still
unfortunately true that they don't suit mine.
