Although I have been an avid clarinettist for 41 years, I am now, at the
age of 54, preparing to learn to play the piano. It is something I have
always wanted to do. Since I live in an apartment, I do not have room for
any kind of piano or the "noise" (to some) it generates. I have been
fortunate that I never received flack for my daily 2 hours of clarinet
practice. I have decided to get a digital keyboard. Actually, I have
narrowed that search to the Yamaha P80, for various reasons, probably the
most important of which is the weighted keyboard that is supposed to have a
real piano touch. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could contact
me privately with suggestions or comments on digital keyboards. I want to
start off on the right foot! (I am NOT giving up the clarinet- just giving
myself another activity!)

Thank you.

Fred

P.S. My underlying reason for doing this is to be able to accompany
myself. It has been impossible for me to find a capable piano player.
