I'm playing also Schmidt-Kolbe system clarinets(wide bore). These
instruments - made by Fritz Wurlitzer (the father of Herbert W.)till =
1976 at
Erlbach/former East Germany - were used professionally in the main
orchestras in the Netherlands till appr. 1975. I'm quit surprised that
somebody in the USA is playing on this kind of instruments, =
interesting!=20
The most important deviation from the Oehler system fingering is of =
course
the altissimo register.
It is no problem to send you my "personal" fingering chart which is =
mainly
caused by trial and error, but realise that the fingering also depends =
on
the used mouthpiece(s).=20

I recommend three articles from "Zeitschrift f=FCr Instrumentenbau"/ =
Leipzig
in which the Schmidt-Kolbe system together with the Schmidt =
Reform-Boehm
keywork is published.
In one of these articles information is published about the fingering:
W. Altenburg, 25, 1906, page 889-892
W. Altenburg, 28, 1907, page 324-326
W. Altenburg, 29, 1908, page 617-620

Please contact me personally for a copy.

Are there more list members who are still playing Fritz Wurlitzer
instruments?
Let me know!

There is a page on sneezy with the Albert/Oehler fingering
http://www.wfg.sneezy.org

However, for the Schmidt-Kolbe system (which I play myself), I haven't
found ANY resource. The S-K system is different, specially in the
altissimo register. I've found some fingering by experimenting and
listening closely for the correct intonation, but I may have missed a
more obvious (correct) fingering. The same goes for trills etc.

Nick Shackleton, an avid collector of Wurlitzers by his own confession,
might have something, though. (he promised me some fingering info some
time ago, but hasn't come across yet - are you there Nick?)
