Dear Mark,

Below the surface, it appears we agree more than we disagree. I have not
had to bore oil either of my instruments more than once or twice since
buying them. They were well treated before purchase.

All I meant to say is that I do feel them with my own fingers and make the
decision myself rather than consult a third party. And when I do bore oil
them, it is very very carefully, and with a minimum of oil with a chamois
swab, as I would not wish to ruin a fine set of pads and corks.

As for my reeds giving me dirty looks, they not only give me dirty looks, my
reeds talk filthy to me as well. They are downright naughty and have to be
silenced after a while!
