Actually it'd be induction and not deduction (deduction starts with
generalities and goes to specifics; inductions goes from specifics to
generalities) but in any case you've only made an observation, the initial
step in inductive reasoning towards a theory (observation, pattern,
tentative hypothesis, theory)

Jumping from the observation (cocobolo sounds better) to the theory
(material made the difference) is a huge leap ... of faith, not science.
