It also would seem to me, in the case of whatever instrument/ensemble, etc.
a piece is written for, that it must work on a musical level and on the
instrumental level to make it at least work studying in order for people to
purchase it and utilize it. Even the most common etude books will not sell
if the etudes are not helpful in developing tone and technique on the
instrument for which they are written.
