As far as the "O" shape is concerned, I have also found that having the
child make a fist and placing a rubberband around it and then reminding them
that their lips make up the "embouchure" and the should feel somewhat like
this rubberband on their hand. Prevent the kid from sticking their fist in
their mouth and move on from there. ;-)

You can go into double-lip embouchure ideas as well during this stage,
letting them "try" things. Exploration and learning by doing and feeling
are extremely important. Encourage things done right and find ways to
convince away from things not working or done poorly.
