We tend to use the term "horn" to apply to the French horn specifically,
but also to all wind instruments generally. I depends on the
context. With all the many clarinets, saxophones, and other instruments I
own, I can say that I have quite a collection of horns (generic), even
though I do not have a French horn (specific) at all.
