Hello, I've been playing clarinet for 6 years. This past year I've gotten a
whole new instrument, re-arranged my embouchure, and gotten a new
mouthpiece. Im playing on a Richard Hawkins mouthpiece, which is by far the
best mouthpiece I've ever played on. but it has a narrow opening on the tip,
and I think because of that it restricts my sound. I've tried dropping my
jaw a lot, and it helps but it seems like I have to work a lot just to get
the right tone. So I'm asking if anyone knows where i can find a good
mouthpiece with a wider tip opening.. I've tried the Vandoren mouthpieces,
but I don't like them much, has anyone heard of a J.D height mouthpiece or
something? Im rambling on. Thanks for your time.
