Gavin -

I believe that the "North American Colonies" are celebrating something that
they call "Thanksgiving Day" on Thursday. Seems that some pilgrims back in
the 1600's managed to make it through a winter and had good summer crops and
they and their Indian friends celebrated with a big feast. (Or did they get
Big Macs from the corner McDonalds.)
