dear cindy

i looked on your website. i really enjoyed the enthusiasm and creativity
your
pupils have, i particularly enjoyed the "reedy" pictures.

but when i tried to read the paper page, i couldn't, it was too unsharp. i
printed it, but the only things more or less distuinguishable on it were the
pictures of you, your husband and the very prominent clarinet, and the
title: "ein
klarinettensolo für zwei".

you did change the site a lot, didn't you? i visited it before, and if i
remember right, you told several things about yourself and your family. now
i wanted to look at a few of these data, but they are not on internet, or at
least your website any more? at the previous time i looked at your site i
had hardly any time to read it, but tonight i wanted to see if the clarinet
virus is contagious (in german: "ansteckend"), i missed your page. my
children don't play clarinet, but my oldest son is an enthusiastic musician.
he plays tenor tuba, i.e. euphonium, all kinds of recorder (i was his first
teacher) and piano, all on a level that would allow him to enter
conservatory in third or fourth year. i don't know, from whom he inherited
his musical capacities: my wife nor anyone in her descent has a musical
gift, and in my progenitors also nobody was musically gifted, although my
grandfather could sit near the radio, search "any" broadcasting station and
then say: "Oh, schumann's rheinische" or "la dame blanche, third act" or
something like that. he always was right. with wagner (my grandfather was a
jew) he could tell every note: "did you hear that one in the second cello's?
he was high". but i too are just a mediocre amateur, as david glenn can
affirm: we played duets the summer before last one.

my youngest son and my daughter are very good in playing the radio and cd's,
but never had any interest in playing any instrument. yet, when my second
son was only five years old, he knew all about michel jackson. last summer
we were together holidays, and when i made a remark
about michel jackson, he didn't even remember anymore he had ever been a fan
... .

i don't know, why i write down all these things, must be pretty boring to
all those on this list, yet ...

greetings

rien

ps if you prefer to answer in german: my german is better than my english
is, and i am so idle to think my english is pretty good.
