Dunno. I was always happy with my 1963 edition that matches, pretty
much, the latest version from Thea and Georgina; but I don't know
about this newest one. I'm still waiting to be informed by the list
about that, because frankly, I can't be bothered any more to take the
intitiative on this subject. (Well, if I don't hear anything, perhaps
I can:-)

As far as I know, none of the issues about variant readings are in the
last movement. Someone once suggested some changes there, but there's
no real evidence that I know of.

What I do remember about the last movement is Gervase talking about the
'Shirley Bassey' bit, in a masterclass. Does that fit your conception?

What I find about the Poulenc sonatas is that I prefer the flute and
oboe ones to the clarinet one.

But flautists and oboists have other ideas....
