My research tells me that the lowest 1/3 or 1/4 of the bore inside the barrel controls the twelths from E to B, F to C.

I have had some success opening the bore of the barrel in the lowest 1/4 section of the bore a few thousandths of an inch.

Counter-intuitively, opening this area raised the throat tones and lowered the clarion A, B, C; the corresponding 12ths.

Narrowing the 12ths, as it were.
