You are using the first statement as an explanation of what you meant with
the second statement, but you didn't include this the first time. I don't
think there was a 'twisting' of your words into an insult...I think perhaps
you didn't justify what you said or give what you said a different context.
You did not write that you were one of few people on the list that has had
'obsolete' theories crammed down their throats, you said that you were you
one of the few people on this list with 'alot' of experience with 20th
Century music. The term 'alot' leaves a huge door open for interpretation,
and the statement does not have to be twisted in any way to be an insult.
By standing alone, that statements does its own work. You've left the door
open for ambiguity.

I am arguing petty semantics, but I just wanted to let you know that
just because people on this list do not have YOUR experiences does not mean
they have no experiences.

I am not losing sleep over this, and this is certainly the last I
will post on the matter. Just wanted to make my point more clear.
