Yes, I will bring the new basset horn, but I have not yet named "it." I
am not even sure of the sex of the instrument. We shall work on that
together.

About ten years ago my bassoon buddy ordered a bassoon from Heckel. He
waited several years on a waiting list. When he was finally notified of
the bassoon's impending arrival, he sent out birth announcements that
included the sex, name, weight and length of the new arrival. He recently
acquired a contra-bassoon and did the same thing with it. It was pretty
amusing.
