Adding to Richard's always wise words, it may be that the holes
corresponding to these notes are dirty. (I've had to clean out the one
corresponding to the open G on several students' instruments.) It seems
that detritus from 'pulling through' can accumulate.

It's worth investigating this before adopting any more radical solution.
