Reading carefully and with some difficulty (french people can very well
understand and speek only one foreign language : french) all the messages of
the list 3 weeks ago, I decided to write too (is it a good idea?).

Excuse me, I'm a french amateur clarinettist, and play in an amateur
symphonic orchestra.

I'm intersted in making reeds from myself. I sometimes tried to do it, with
a piece of cane picked in COGOLIN (south of FRANCE), an my knife (like Mc
GIVER!). It was difficult, painfull and took a lot of time... The result
was... sometimes available...
For me, the purpose is to get freedom for experiences; I don't know where
they will bring me...
I think it would be more realist and interesting to do that with an
individual machine (I don't want to make my wife and my children eat
potatoes during 20 years to pay an "industrial" machine like Vandoren has).
Has somebody heard about such a machine?

Thank's for your responses.

PS : For you, is my english easier to understand as french???
