I have an old Sony MZ-R3 and one of the latest Sony, the MZ-R900. I much
prefer to use the old one for recording as the controls are much bigger and
easier to use but both have inputs marked " MIC" and record from mic very
well. The long play functions on the newer one ared very useful for speech.
None of the full size 'domestic' models seems to have mic input, as far as I
know.
