I have an opportunity to pick up an Amati low C bass clarinet at a good
price. I've never seen one while photos and descriptions at the Amati site
are not informative at all.

Does anyone other than Donna have any experience with this instrument? How
does it's craftsmanship and tone compare to Selmer, Buffet or LeBlanc? In
the small, poor photo at Amati's site, I see only 5 right pinky keys...does
it require the use of the right thumb to operate low C, C# and D keys? Does
it have a double register key?

Your knowledgeable comments, negative and positive will be greatly
appreciated.
