WW/BW lists three Amati German System clarinets, ranging in price from $459
to $1299,

The picture in question is the model 242, the cheapest model produces, with,
naturally, the fewest keys (17 keys, 4 rings).
But it is a German System. Simple German System clarinets are, basically,
not far removed from Alberts or Mullers.
The top of the line Amati is the 670, at $1299 (20 keys, 6 rings) Oddly,
though, this model is not listed on the Amati home
page, but is listed in the WW/BW catalogue. It features most of the key
enhancements found on the Wurlitzers.

I haven't any of the Amati instruments recently, but my earlier tests of
these horns (Boehm) was not good.
I understand that, since the fall of the "Evil Empire", Amati has improved
their quality drastically. Any comments from
the rank and file? BTW, all the Amati clarinets are on back order from
WW/BW.
