It is indeed true that some of the very old Buffet mouthpieces are actually
Chedeville blanks. HOWEVER, most of the mouthpieces you see out there with
the Buffet stamp are not worth the space they take in the case. Even the
Chedeville blank ones usually are in pretty dire need of a good refacing.
In the hands of a good mouthpiece craftsman, though, some of these can play
beautifully.
