Nobody makes Albert system clarinets any more, although some players,
particularly Dixieland jazz players, still like them. Oehler (German)
system clarinets are made by several companies, and are often the only ones
allowed in some schools and orchestras, particularly Viennese ones. The
Oehler system is basically an improved Albert system.
