A couple of years ago I purchased a Patricola Bb, with an A on back order.
This instrument was really a nicely constructed horn, with several good
features. I ultimately sent the instrument back because of many intonation
problems. Projection was also an issue; I could not really be heard
effectively in an orchestral setting. I play on R13s regularly, and live
with their minor problems, but I do play on a Patricola Eb, with great
success.
