The best reed behavior modification advice I've seen came across this list
about a year ago. Someone mentioned that every time a reed goes bad, he
deliberately and with ceremony shoves it head first into a wall, but not before
opening his clarinet case so that all the other reeds would have a chance see
what would happen to THEM if they didn't behave.
