No, Tony, I really wasn't saying that one was better than the other, nor
am I saying that the 9th is not a great work (of course it's a great
work, don't you think?). I was saying that Dan made a valid point. And
no, I can't stand musical snobs, because there are so many different
kinds of music out there that are great in their own ways. I love
Beethoven's 9th, but I also love "Across the Universe" and I don't
really think of one being "better" than the other. I just thought it was
really pompous of the guy to say that one single piece of music (and,
essentially, one genre-classical) is greater than any other composition
(or genre) to date. That's really just an opinion of one individual. Am
I clear? Did I say that I disagreed with anything??? I don't think I
did. Don't put words in my mouth.
