Annie,

I have that recording also. In fact, that was my favorite recital at
ClarFest 2000. How did you get the arrangement? Is it for sale somewhere,
or did you get it directly from him?

Nancy, I don't know what pieces you are talking about. Fernando did
write a terrific arrangement of "Tico Tico" that I think is for some
sort of clarinet ensemble. I have the recording (I think) of him playing
it with his group at ClarinetFest 2000. I remember that it was a great
arrangement and that it was part of the work for his Masters.
Nancy, I went ahead an ordered a Buffet E-11 C clarinet from
Woodwind & Brass for $799. The serial number was 000124, so it must be a
new product. It plays great! My husband says I can "upgrade" to anything
I want anytime I want, but I am happy with the E-11. Maybe Buffet
realized that there was a need for an affordable C clarinet. I will be
making a demo CD of Brazillian tunes soon. I guess I'll call the band
"Blue Bossa". So I'll send you the CD as soon as I can sound good enough
and work up enough tunes to have this "act" to add to my gigs. ANNIE
