I have recently tried Guy Chadash's clarinets, and
fell in love with them! I am going to buy a set (it
takes him 8 months for the first clarinet, and 4 more
for the second, as they are made together and
staggered on the keywork.) If you get a chance to try
them, they are really even and have a great sound,
moreso than *all* of the instruments I tried at
Clarinet Fest. They are a little more than factory
made instruments...but they are handmade and he does
guarantee all the upkeep work for free, and all the
barrels you would need for the instruments for free
(for life...HIS life, I guess, hehe) since they are
different bore tapers. His website is
http://www.chadash-clarinet.com

As a result, I am selling my new (1 yr old) Buffet
Prestige RCs (Bb and A) with all of the barrels that
have been good matches for me with these 2 instruments
(I have 9 barrels: 2 Clark Fobes, 2 Buffet stock, 1
Buffet Moennig, and 4 Buffet Chadash barrels.) If
anyone is interested, the instruments have been
fine-tuned by Guy Chadash, and have a double Bam case.
It would save someone about $1000 on the set-up to new
instruments and barrels, if they are interested in the
whole kit and caboodle, or I could sell the barrels
separately, selling the seven non-standard barrels
leaving the original barrels that came with the
instruments with the instruments. I will put them up
for "adoption" after the Philadelphia and Syracuse
auditions in late January. Drop me a line privately at
clarinet10001@-----.

Sorry for the bandwidth...
