I'm an elementary school band teacher though only a budding clarinetist
myself. I do find that my students seem to have difficulty producing notes
over the break because the book we work from in the band class keeps the
clarinets in the chalemeau register for a very long time. In our homogeneous
classes (with no outside time for sectionals and nowhere else to send the
rest of the students), do you have any suggestions of how I might sdapt the
book to get the clarinets playing in the clarion register more quickly?
