Greetings Klarinetters,

I'm soon to have the pleasure of performing Weber's second concerto
as part of a chorus and orchestra concert. Given that I've been
fortunate to perform concerti several times before, given that there
will be three performances, given the operatic context in which the
Weber clarinet concerti were written, and given that Weber likely did
not through-compose the pieces at the outset, I'm curious whether
there is any way today of obtaining whatever skeletal clarinet part
Weber actually did present to Baermann. Starting from that would be
such an opportunity--in terms of exploring (tasteful) improvisatory
possibilities, or at least in order to become more cognizant of the
essentially improvised nature of some of what we have in our modern
editions!

Any pointers would be most welcome!

Peace,

Asher
