Yes, she does! She has one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard.
Another player's sound that I adore just as much is Jim Moffit's. He
plays with the Honolulu Symphony, and subbed here in St. Louis for about
a year. I heard him play Messaien's Quartet for the End of Time, and The
Abyss of the Birds was amazing. =20

I'm not sure about the Hawkins mpc, the last I knew she was playing on a
Pyne. I do love the Hawkins, though, I play on one myself. And I think
she uses a brass ligature specially made for her. I've never seen her
use a Rovener or a BG, although she very well might have used them
before!=20

She's a great player, and a nice person also. We had some good
discussions about grad schools which was very informative!=20
