And there's another way of thinking about this sort of thing that might
be helpful, too.

Look at:

It's an essay about the difference between finger movements that *do*
need be fast and finger movements that *don't* need to be fast.

So,in this passage, which fingers need to move fast?

LH third finger doesn't need to be fast. It's 'on' for three
semiquavers out of four, off for one.

RH second finger doesn't need to be fast. It's 'off' for three
semiquavers out of four, on for one.

LH little finger, however, goes on/off repeatedly throughout the
passage. So it needs to be (relatively) faster.
