I think it is, Bill.

However, the way I'd now go about practising such a thing is to use an
exercise I posted here in:

(The second post is only because I made a mistake in the first.)

Even though there is a polemic in the first about how we learn tonal
modulation, which looks unrelated to fingering difficulties, I sometimes
find that fingering difficulties go away when the passage *sounds*
right, which is what the exercise is designed to achieve.

And it's not a bad exercise just for fingers, either.
