Subj: [kl] Bb and C cases

I've had the same problem myself. But here is a novel solution. I removed the inner part of the C cas the inner part of the Bb case. put them in a breif Case and now I have a custom Case. I have a selmer double case for Bb and A it's a Fel I believe. Sometimes I just stick the C in the spot ment for the A and It works just fine. Those Wiseman cases are heavy and bulky but to my knowlege they are the only company that will make something that is custom built. I'm going to get one for Bass, Bb and C clarinet because Flying with more than case has gotton to be a real pain. I read that some on didn't like a case because It only had a place for one mouthpiece and that he wanted to have a spare with him. after 20 years of traveling on tour, flying all over the place to play gigs, and concerts I've learned on thing. Never KEEP SPARE EQUIPMENT IN THE SAME CASE AS THAT WHICH IT SUPPOSE TO REPLACE. have it with you, on the bus, in the car, with your room mate, whatever. If your case is stollen misplaced back stage, or
run over with a chrysler station wagon( it happen when I was 16 playing a polka gig), You can usually find another clarinet to play. I havespare mouthpieces, with a set of working reeds, in my spare instrument case. When I'm on tour It is packed in a box ready for my wife to ship it next day to wherever I'm playing. I also have a spare mouthpiece and for every instrument with me on tour in a seperated container with me. Always Have spare stuff! Just make sure that if you need it, it isn't in the case that just got stollen.
