Lacy, Tony Wakefield from the UK, on our Klarinet List, has written a
gorgeous arrangement of that tune, for piano and clarinet. If you write
to him, I'm sure he will sell you a copy if you guys can figure out the
price in dollars vs pounds or whatever they use over there. I am a big
fan of Tony's compositional and arranging styles for clarinet. ANNIE

Subject: [kl] Really cool...

The SLSO is having a series of KinderKonzerts this morning, and George
Silfies played Gershwin's "Walking the Dog" with the orchestra. Has
anyone here played that one? I've never played it, but I just loved his
style! He also is playing piano in "Carnival of the Animals". The
conductor, a pianist, is playing the cuckoo part on the Eb clarinet.
Verrrrry funny. I almost soiled myself from laughing so hard!! :)
