A couple of days ago, I said that Kalmen Opperman might be willing to make a
barrel if you called him and could convince him you were serious.

He has now told me that this is not so. He is semi-retired and makes them
only for his students and former students. I'm sorry to have given incorrect
information. Please do not call him.

There are several alternatives. I think that Guy Chadash will match a barrel
to your clarinet and mouthpiece, and Greg Smith offers his mouthpieces with
Chadash barrels selected to work well with them. James Pyne also makes
barrels that are designed to work with his mouthpieces, as does Clark Fobes.
