As already stated, yes. There is an opening for the principal clarinetist
spot in the SSO. Their former principal clarinetist, Carey Bell, accepted a
position with the San Francisco Opera. They've temporarily filled the slot
for this season (he left this summer) but will be holding auditions at the
end of the season, I believe. The phone number there is (315) 424-8222 --
the personnel manager should have all the info you need.
