Dear List Members,
I don't have an opportunity to play many gigs that are going to be
as fun as this one. I am going to NYC after thanksgiving and I will be
meeting up with 2 clarinetists from the past, Larry Guy (Class of 1968 -
Oberlin) and Neal Haiduck (Transylvania Music Camp, Brevard, NC- 1960).
It so happens that I am Mennonite and my friend, John Rempel, is a
wonderful Mennonite minister who loves to drink and party, and he has a
peace making liason at the UN. John wants to have a cocktail party at
the UN with me, Neal and Larry playing clarinet trios. Maybe we should
invite Hat and make it a quartet. The only problem is that I have to
remember to pack my music stand and music stand light, being that I am
half blind. I hope my music stand will make it through customs. ANNIE

Yeah, Annie,
Sounds like fun. We'll get Larry drunk and he can play orchestral
excerpts for everyone-they'll just love hearing the first clarinet part to
Daphnis and Chloe.
