Annie,
I hesitate to give you any advice as you are clearly a very experienced
player/teacher, but if you have not already done so, concentrate on going B
to A, which is much easier. First finger LH can keep contact with the A key
and all RH fingers down, and both pinkies, while playing B. With minimum
moovement, ['Don't let anyone see you doing it' is my instruction.] slowly
move to A. If this can be practised till it is seamless and with minimum
movement it should be possible to then reverse this movement.
