This is very useful information. When I looked at the picture of the Etude
I was concerned about the integrity of the material. If I am going to
suggest something like this for my students I want to make sure that it
works and will last.

For anyone out there who thinking of suggesting a neck strap for my
students, I would like to say that very youngs students don't like them and
won't use them at school. The basic reason for this seems to be fear of
what other students may think. It seems that the fear of being even the
slightest bit different is a real problem with young children today. A case
in point was when I had a student who didn't want to use Vandoren Reeds
because all of the other kids used Rico's. (Yes, she is using Vandoren's
now, and has learned the value of being a leader instead of a follower).
