Anybody notice how cocobolo keeps popping up in here? Now that I have found a way to stabilize th wood, I greatly prefer my cocobolo barrels to my African Blackwood ones.

To me, the tone is more "uniform" and less harsh.

I am going to try to make a Denner-style two key clarinet, some time this month, and use cocobolo.

I realize it won't be "authentic" or "historical" but It will be fun.
