But topical.

Some good thinking tho` Bill. There are lots of good brains within this
.org. And it is perhaps the 'best' brains who we find do have a go at each
other, perhaps finding that this way of communicating relieves the boredom
of ordinary hum-drum life. We all have different levels of tolerance, and at
best we become intolerant, and (indeed often) at worst, this strays over to
become real violence. Violence comes in two categories: it can be physically
applied, or verbally. The law quite clearly states that physical violence is
strictly unacceptable. But there are less clear guidelines where verbal and
mental abuse comes into the equation. Hence we are able to 'get away' with
this kind of violence more frequently. I believe the law should make an
effort to clarify this second and, in my opinion more damaging kind. This
second kind of violence is the kind which corrupts and damages our society
more so that a good quick sock on the jaw. Yet the law still frowns more
severely upon this occurrence. Verbal abuse can cause an individual to
harbour progressively degenerative thinking, which when untreated can form
part of a continuous life style which then passes onto, and inflicts both
kinds of violence to others who come into contact. Children for example.

I urge all our great brains to cool it. It looks as if this might be slowly
happening now.

I say it`s the oil which hasn`t been pouring quite in the right

P.S. England have made it through to the world cup finals. My son went to
the game and he managed to get a handshake from David Beckham.
