<><> Roger Garrett rote:
[my father was] recently diagnosed with an incurable disease.
You and your father have my sympathy, Roger.
A thought occurred to me: if my father had started me on music,
would I have arranged a recital and played one of his favorites for him?
This is a very individual question of course. I don't know how I'd
answer it myself....
.....well, I guess I do in a way. My mother was dying when I
started playing clarinet a couple of years ago; and after a few weeks, I
did bring my plastic horn to her house and I played what I could
(Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, which was the song that she started me on
when she tried to teach me piano as a child... one of my earliest
childhood memories).
Best regards,
Bill
