Elliott Carter's brand-new Cello Concerto, premiered by Yo-Yo Ma and the
Chicago Symphony on Thursday, includes a trio for cello, bass clarinet, and
contrabass clarinet. Lawrie Bloom played bass and John Bruce Yeh played
contrabass.
