Whilst working at Howarth I word processed some hand-written inventories of
pad requirements for many different clarinets. One of the repairers, I think
his name was Ben, had built up a catalogue of them. I don'ot know whether he
still works there but maybe if someone on the list could put you in touch
with repairer who deals with a lot of older instruments, they may have
catelogued the information you're looking for. The Howarth clarinet shop
