Ummmm. I think we're ALL in for a rocky financial futurre, at least in the short term, not just professional musicians.

For example, the company that my wife works for, a very small business strategy consulting group, has had over $1 Million worth of projects cancelled or postoned directly due to the WTC attacks.

Several of my friends in the computer industry have called me in the past week. The companies that they worked for, which were shaky financially any way, took this as a warning and started mass layoffs. Now, these guys, bigtime earners with a big monthly nut, are on the outside looking in.

The problem is, is that soon we well have at least 200,000 people (100,000 alone in the airlane industry)people in this country laid off because of the terrorist attacks. This will ripple through the economy, hotels, travel agencies, restaurants, etc. etc. These 200,00+ people might lose houses, or eat up all their savings before they can get back on their feet.

Tough times ahead for all, I'm afraid.

Walter
