Though obviously, this is not a flute list, I couldn't resist answering this
one. I am a real fan of Trevor Wye and when I first got serious about
learning the flute, I used his Tone practice book. It is excellent for
adult beginners as well.

A question for the "dubblers", especially you and those who "know" the
Trevor Wye books: Which clarinet method books do you think most closely
resemble the Trevor Wye practice books? (I am THAT big of a fan.) Annie, I
know you have mentioned Mr. Galper's books, which I have not yet been able
to purchase, as I am not teaching at the moment.

Anyone else?
